The executive producer behind the making of Flight of the Living Dead (aka Plane Dead), a movie that is on its way to becoming a cult classic states that his trip to Thailand for stem cell therapy to treat his congestive heart failure was the most wonderful thing he has ever done.
Glen Tackett, 54, of Tucson, Arizona is a man always up for an adventure. Whether he was producing movies or cruising on his motorcycle, Glen had no fear. However, a terrible motorcycle accident left Glen in the hospital with the loss of his left leg as well as a heart attack caused during the accident when his rib punctured his heart muscle.
The damage done during the heart attack led to congestive heart failure, a condition that afflicts more than 5 million Americans, severely restricting their activities and quality of life.
“I thought I was going to die soon. I couldn’t breathe. I was on oxygen five times per week,” said Glen. Not willing to lie down and die, Glen searched for options. He found that there were very few options for congestive heart failure patients. However, he did find an option with Theravitae, a stem cell therapy company in Thailand that specializes in treating heart disease patients with their Vescell adult stem cell treatment.
Glen described his decision to journey to Bangkok for his stem cell treatment, “I was very unsure about it. I thought it was a gamble. However, I’d rather die with a bloody nose than to die meekly without trying something.”
Glen was treated in May, 2007 at Chaophya Hospital in Bangkok. Glen thought it was a great experience. “The hospital was wonderful. The staff was great. The hotel was wonderful,” he said.
When asked about the cardiologist who treated him in Thailand, Dr. Suphachai Chaithiraphan, President of the Asia- Pacific Society of Atherosclerosis and Vascular Disease, Glen stated, “He is my guy! He was very kind and made me feel very comfortable, explaining every step of the way. He was also very skilled.”
Since his stem cell therapy, Glen has had no problems of shortness of breath- his chief complaint before his stem cell treatment. Glen is now totally off of oxygen. “My color is good, I feel as strong as a bull. I can now walk 6 miles at a time. Before the stem cell treatment, I had trouble walking 6 feet without oxygen,” he said.
“I was warned by my dialysis doctors that stem cell therapy was a scam and they had never heard of it working. Now, after seeing my improvement, those same doctors are considering going to Thailand to check out the stem cell treatment,” Glen stated.
Glen continued, “I am extremely happy with the results. I am back to being myself. I would recommend it for anyone.”
Glen has graciously volunteered to speak to anyone regarding his stem cell treatment. You can email him at tacketttat2man@yahoo.com or call him at 520-241-4536.
